[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Somewhere in this thread the main point of my message has been completely lost. Mehrdad, I know four Farsi speaking people, work with them, all excellent human beings. Wouldn't think of harming anyone let alone themselves. Being the language of a large part of the Arab world I included it. Not an indictment of anyone for antything. Robert, I don't think I'm the one whose being "ignorant" here. Can you describe murder suicide as anything other than insane? You've completely and totally missed the entire point of my comments. I guess I haven't made myself very clear. My country has a bad habit of not speaking frankly, particularly when frankness is required. We also have a bad habit of bending over to every group that's offended by anything these days, reagardless of how minor or how justified. Don was absolutely right in his earlier comments. Political correctness is the child of liberal thinking. If you don't live in the US and haven't spent enough time here (at least 25yrs) to understand and lament our transition from a country of plain speech and direct action to a country of pandering poofs afraid to tell the truth, then you can't correctly comment on the situation. And with that I'll let this thread die. My apologies to anyone I may have offended. No offense was intended. MC U.S.A.
