I would send it out for a CLA and make sure you specifically mention this problem as they would not ordinarily check low light sensitivity. I would also send it to one of the good Leica techs like Gerry at Kindermann, DAG or Sherry. It may mean that you will have to update to the newer circuitry as parts are scarce for the early M6 electronics.
