I'm definitely going to watch for that shirt there again some time and try to reshoot. I do plan to reshoot the bridge on a day with better sky. On the PAW project, I've been trying to work within the constraints of posting something shot during the previous week and it's hard to find a good sky in Aberdeen. I think the rainiest place in the continental US is about 30 miles from there. It's easy to see where Kurt Cobain picked up a lot of his angst. I only pass through there on surfing trips so this is will be filed in my mental 'future shots to do' list. The water idea sounds fun too. I'll need to wear a raincoast though, I got frickin' soaked the first time ;-> Thanks a ton, especially for the dead people idea. I'm doubtful that would have come to me on my own and I've got a couple other creepy places it'll come in handy. Possibly a slow shutter speed to blur the people so they look ghost like, or a double exposure so the people are transparent. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=997629&size=lg This bridgscape is more problematic as it just doesn't reach me. If I were confronted by a similar structure I would have gotten lower and shot at a more upward angle, hopefully choosing a day with more clouds in the sky with a orange to red filter to pop the bridge structure from the sky. However, this is your art so if that is not the message you wanted to say then please disregard as everyone should have their own vision. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=997633&size=lg The wall of water is an intriguing image with something there. Possibly a vertical composition, possibly some spot of color. I do think the main is a stronger image than the alternate, mostly because the water in this case is better stopped than blurred. Woulda, shoulda, possibly multiple exposures at a high shutter speed to build up a wall of sharp water? Thanks for showing your work.
