Possibly a slow shutter speed to blur the people so they look ghost like, or a double exposure so the people are transparent. http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=997629&size=lg This bridgscape is more problematic as it just doesn't reach me. If I were confronted by a similar structure I would have gotten lower and shot at a more upward angle, hopefully choosing a day with more clouds in the sky with a orange to red filter to pop the bridge structure from the sky. Possibly a vertical composition, possibly some spot of color. I do think the main is a stronger image than the alternate, mostly because the water in this case is better stopped than blurred. Woulda, shoulda, possibly multiple exposures at a high shutter speed to build up a wall of sharp water? Thanks for showing your work.
