I suspect you're mixing up the D60 and the G2, Tina. The G2 is the Canon
prosumer similar in form and function to the Digilux - and I agree with you
completely about it's crummy viewfinder. The D-60 is the less expensive -
$2200? - of Canon's two pro SLR digitals...Nothing small or poor about the
view through that thing - and it takes the complete Canon lens line...

If you like using rangefinders, you will like the Digilux better than the
D60.  The D60's viewfinder is not much better and thier LCD screen is only
good for reviewing what you have taken. I used the D60 for a day and did
not like trying to frame the photo through that tiny viewfinder.  The
ability to use regular lenses is a plus, but then you have to worry
obsessively about getting dust in the camera and on the fragile CCD.

I'll get a digital SLR when I can get one that uses my Leica lenses and has
a viewfinder like the R8.  In the meantime, the Digilux does a fine job
when I need digital.
