I consider a "mirror lock-up" an essential feature of a camera, which is
kinda-sorta why I restrict most of my "SLR" ventures to a PLOOT or Viso I,
both of which offer this feature. (See, BD, Ernst was thinking of you and
Jim, all those years back!).

But, pray, whatever is a "ratcheted film advance", and why should this be
important? Are there digital cameras, your lust and love, with this
feature? In any event, just what IS this?
