Use USPS (mail) as the courier companies will tack on a $15 to $45 
brokerage fee on top of any duties. Canada Post only charges $5. Fill 
out the custom's declaration accurately. They open a good number of my 
packages though, mind you, I once ordered some literature from the USSR 
embassy when I was 14 and I am not sure the RCMP ever regained their 
trust in me.
