But in any case you probably have aluminum on aluminum friction. In a well ventilated place first clean all the old gunk out, lighter fluid works pretty well if you don't smoke, carburetor cleaner also works. Then I would use one of the spray on lubricants that has Teflon in it, Tri-Flo in the US works, in France there will of course be another product. The usual pitfalls are the odd bit flinging itself into oblivion so a clean workspace and careful disassembly should catch that odd piece. That and a good eye remembering which way things go.
