Sorry to hear that you have the problem, too.  My camera started with one,
and then progressed until about 40% of the rubber at the edges is gone. It
seems not to rip, but rather just suddenly be gone!

Lisle-Kelco (the Canadian Leica folks) will look after it, under warranty,
but they want to send it to Solms, so I'll be without the camera for about
6 weeks. :( 

Take heart - the problem is not unheard of, though it seems to be rare -
with only 3 bodies (including mine) and 2 winders (including yours)
reported.  All seem to be early production units.
