Subject: [Leica] D1x + B&W Printing

I have a F5, F100 and D1X- the D1x most closely resembles the F100 in feel and controls.

For those of you who don't want to dedicate a printer to B&W try this. Convert your B&W to RGB in PS then print at the higest rez (1440 or 2880) using black ink only. I really like the look. In fact I use a 1160 and just buy cone black (not the gray), no more clogged heads and occasional solarization (look) but first try it just with the OEM epson inks. If you don't stick your nose in it ; (hint:larger size 13x19)it keeps the viewing distance workable. A whole lot easier and cheaper than CONE ( and I went to his workshop). Before you laugh, read this article by the son of the founder of Magnum then try it.
The convert to RGB trick is my own and seems to add rez.
