On the Off List advice of a few LUG members I purchased a Velbon Carmagne tripod. My trip to the big city of Spokane had me in Huppin's (nice store, but no Leica stuff) and there on the floor, on sale, was the tripod I had failed to find in any store I had looked at for the last 6 months. It worked well, like my advisors said, and the price was much less than B&H. The only "problem" is that is was a package deal and came with the Velbon Vel-flo-10 (PH-268R) head. I have no use for this head. The sales person said he would sell me the legs only if I wanted, but the price was the same as it was a package deal the rep left for them. My momma didn't raise no fool, so I have a video head. Anyone out there interested in it, contact me off list. The box says $140, but who buys list price???
