My apologies. You're absolutely correct. I had completely forgotten that
there was a small number of people pulled out on the first day or so....
I guess I forgot about those few rescues because of the months of clean up
that were, largely for political reasons, called rescue work.

If you're suggesting there was no one to rescue, you're wrong. A lot of
people were trapped for hours in the rubble and were rescued-  firefighters,
Port Auth. police officers, civilians working in the towers. I know its not
many when you consider the big picture, and their stories may have gotten
the
short end of the stick, but it was in the dozens.

Uh, not to be 'unpatriotic, but what rescues at the WTC would those have
been?
