It was pretty unexciting back then, but I have very fond memories of it. 
Like being able to walk anywhere at night without getting mugged, and the 
bicycles having the right of way. For a while, I lived in Winters. That 
would have been a great place to document photographically, but I didn't 
think of it at the time.
