Jeffery.....

I too have been thinking about a nice train ride to somwhere... just to
capture the ambiance of an old time trip..... and maybe get a chance to grab
a few shots. So, I entered a to and from trip, and got a price, which as you
said, was reasonable. Then, I looked at the price with a bed.. and HOLY
CATFISH!!!! My fare jumped from $279 to $1,125.00..... for TWO FRICKING
NIGHTS SLEEPING in what essentially is a bunk bed with a curtain around it.
Does anyone pay those outrageous sleeper prices? Just think of it..... for
the price of a new M6, you can sleep twice in an Amtrak bunk.
I was STUNNED!!!

No wonder Amtrak is gushing red ink.
