It's interesting to suddenly see several people using photoalbumweb.com all
at once; a friend to whom I gave the link to my photos on it sent the info
to her son, who almost immediately seized on it and came back with an album
of landscape snapshots from Western Australia.

However, I have decided to use it in the future only for snapshots.
Particularly, as a board member of a non-profit, I tend to shoot away some
at meetings and photoalbum is a great place to display those. It is also a
great place for newbies, having the easiest interface I've ever seen.

For serious work, I'm going to use a different route. First, I remembered
an almost forgotten fact, that my DSL provider has given me five megabytes
of web space. Second, having read the excellent book on scanning by Wayne
Fulton, http://www.scantips.com, I have an understanding of how to control
the exact size of photos to be displayed and what resolution to use in the
scan. So, while I'm not prolific enough to even consider PAW, I will do
PWIFLI (picture when I feel like it) whenever I have something I'm mildly
proud of. And those will go up on my web site.
