Actually they do. They played as though assembled by the great watch
maker in the sky, deliberate and methodical. 
Brazil's first goal came about from an act of anarchy, where the player
acted out on his own on a flight of freewill. It's something the
contemporary German player could never do, as that sense of romantic
individualism, was stamped of their physique in the last century.
I can envision a time, probably in my lifetime, where FIFA rules will
eventually forbid the _individual_play, given the societal
re-engineering taking place. After all you couldn't rationally have a
gaming vehicle that portrays a behavior no longer fashionable.
