If you need glasses to read, these lenses will put the correction in the viewfinder so that you focus without wearing glasses. I can't stand wearing glasses when using my camera, so I've found these to be quite useful. The numbers "+1.5" indicate the amount of correction. If you have ever seen cheap reading glasses at the drug store, they are marked with the same kind of numbers. My prescription is about a +1.75, so I find the +2.0 is best for me with the Leicas.
