Subject: [Leica] Next Logical Telephoto Lens After 180mm

After using my Leica 180mm f/2.8 APO telephoto lens with landscape
photography, I'm finding a desire to go deeper into the scenery after
viewing many of my slides. There are landscape scenes that I see that
are within the 180's FoV that would make great shots of their own. I
could use double the FL of the 180 to pull in some of those scenes.
Leica offers a 280mm APO telephoto, but that lens falls short of
doubling the 180's FL. They no longer offer a telephoto in the mid 300mm
range which would be perfect jump from a 180mm lens. The next telephoto
from Leica is a big jump to the the 400mm FL level, and costs $8K, more
than I will spend on a lens, also. Is it logical to buy another
telephoto lens, the Leica 280mm APO Telyt, offering only 60% more FL
than their 180mm lens?
