When I got 15 mm Voigtländer, the first thing I did was to test finder vs lens coverage. Easy: photograph a wall with a spade and a broom and a few other thing at the left and right side of what you see in the finder. Make a note of the distance between the objects, and the outermost object you see in the finder (which should be the second one from the outside) Take photo, develop and compare your notes of what you saw in the finder with what is on the negative. Make notes! Otherwise you will have forgotten your setup by the time the negatives are ready. Use this lens often. Just take normal scenes. No need to try to go extreme. The lens does this by itself. And try to line up vertical or horizontal lines on the subject with the 35 mm lines in your camera viewfinder, that helps avoid distortion. I have a photo (train station) with that lens on my webpage http://www.almqvist.net/chris/new Rgds C >Hi, > >My new 15mm voigtlander is on the way... > >As I understood there are no frame in the viewfinder, not like the >viewfinder of the 21 skopar. >What is then the coverage of the 15mm viefinder? 100% corner to corner? > >Thanks, logan. > >_________________________________________________________________ >MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: >http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx > >-- >To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- Christer Almqvist D 20255 Hamburg and / or F 50590 Regnéville sur Mer http://www.almqvist.net/chris/new - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
