Tripod? Without getting into another size debate. I can easily see a difference between MF 8x10's and 11x14's vs 35mm. I guess it just depends on what you want. If you think your Leica, shooting fast film, makes grainless sharp beautiful prints comparing to a MF neg, great. I'd say you have the Leica Box pulled over your eyes. To me 8x10 is a good max for 35mm Leica glass or not. This is only a personal preference.
