Subject: [Leica] "Wet" darkroom vs. the big "D"

Nothing wrong with digital, it's a must in some photography work these days.
Shoot on a card, email it within seconds, and the magazine or newspaper have
their front page.

But, unless someone can proove that the digital image I capture on a cheap
P&S or a pro D1x will last as long as a b&w negative(and some negatives or
plates have lasted 100 years or more), I'll stick with getting my hands wet
on some fiber base paper.

Anyone can get a 1950's Leitz Focomat as use it for many years to come, but
you have to keep upgrading a computer or printer to continue to use it. Mo'
money, mo' money. Companies have already shown that a image on a CD may only
last 10 years.

My opinion anyway.

Get wet in New Orleans

ps- the more darkroom stuff available cheap, the better.
