Subject: [Leica] Nathan's PAW 21: mundane objects

One of the consequences of being a photographer for me is that wherever
I am, I look for pictures. Sometimes I try to find something interesting
even in totally mundane objects. My two pictures of this week are an
example of that. First, a fire hydrant in Küsnacht, a town about 5 km
from my house. I have parked near this spot many times in the past
couple of years, but never noticed how elaborate this simple piece of
"street furniture" is:

The alternate is even more mundane. I was sitting in my front yard one
morning, drinking coffee, and noticed the light and shadow of the gate
leading into the yard:

and comments and critique are welcomed and appreciated as always.

Later today I head up to Belgium and then tomorrow morning to Amsterdam
to meet up with Tom and Tuulikki Abrahamsson and a bunch of Dutch
LUGgers for a photographic onslaught on Amsterdam. Hopefully, I will be
able to show some results of that next week.
