My first lens test on a brand new 28mm Elmarit was photos of the GT40's at
the Nurburgring in 1967. Amazing how good orange on blue could look! Took
lots of wide angle shots in the pits and closeups from the apex of the
Carousel turn where they banked by like fighter planes just a few feet away.
Security was pretty light in those days and a press pass allowed you to go
anywhere. Still have some great Kodachromes from those days.
