Jon,
    Welcome to the LUG.  Congrats on your decision to emerge from
the shadows; being in the light can have its trials and
tribulations, but it is a great place to learn. I like the moment
you captured in the first shot.  The caption is clever, but I'm
not sure that the girls' expressions fully tell the story you
intend.  You capture a great moment here, but the central
action--the kicked ball--gets overwhelmed by all of the
background.  IMHO, a wide aperture would help keep some of the
background out of focus and less of a distraction to the main
action.  I also like the two kids seated on the chairs.  It's a
simple shot, but the kids have really appealing expressions.
They know they are being photographed, but they don't look
awkward.  It could be any bus station anywhere; you've captured a
very human moment.
    Keep snapping and posting.
