Subject: [Leica] A Lumix and a Labrador

LUGs,

Before reading today's latest batch of messages about the Lumix, I was
outside using mine with Max the Labrador as the subject. I needed a couple of
pictures of him for a local canine beauty contest.

Two of the "keepers" are at:
http://pages.cthome.net/royzartarian/Max-digital.html

If the truth be known, these are the only two where he actually acknowledged
the "Sit. Stay." command, eyeing the treat in my hand all the while.

Most of the techie stuff is at the bottom of the page. I set the metering
mode to aperture priority with the aperture set at f/4. With this camera,
I used the LCD screen, as Tina has recommended, and spot auto focus, locking
onto the subject's eye. The Gimp's paintbrush cleaned up the white blobs in
the eyes that result from using flash on an animal.
