Some of you may remember that a while back we had one of our seemingly
endless discussions about....photographing in Strbks and how it was pretty
much impossible to do....well...check out
http://web.mit.edu/21w.749/www/Students/aaronmihalik/finalproject/index.html
to see the final project one of my students, Aaron Mahalik did on Strbks...

All the final projects from this semester may be seen at

Keep in mind that these kids are all science students, NOT art or photo
students. Some had never taken a photo course before. They
spent the semester reading, looking at photos, writing about photo-related
issues, and working on a documentary photo project.

The great majority of the projects are worth a look - some are better
written than they are photographed, but most of the kids definitely got the
idea of what they were supposed to be doing - and a number of them say that
they are now inspired to try to do more project work on their own.

And, yes, one student had a beatup M6. The others used a wide assortment of
equipment, from ancient Pentaxs and Minolta SLRs, to digtal P&Ss and a D1.

Enjoy...
