Hi all!

I am lusting after a late screwmount Leica. I very much like the look
and feel of such cameras but also want a very compact (with 50mm
Elmar) classical camera to basically carry everywhere.

Now I ve read that most of these older cameras need a CLA and
possibly also a new shutter (-curtain). Also I have often heard good
things said about overhauled cameras by certain repairspecialists
(e.g. Sherry Krauter).

So, can you recommend a particular model over another (I was thinking
about a IIIc, IIc, IIIf or IIf) _and_ can you recommend a particular
repair person to do a complete CLA of the camera (if possible in
Europe, esp. Germany)?

How much do you think I would have to pay for the camera and the
CLA/possible shutter repair??

Maybe somebody has a reliable, CLAed camera for sale? I am not
looking for a mint example, just one in good working order.

As always I apreciate every comment.

Many TIA,

Matthias Ochs
