(wouldn't want to sully the reputation of the marque! :-) so anyway, i took the sick m6 down to bergen county camera so as means to send to leica usa, when rob (their great leica guy) says, "oh yeah, let me try something" and smacks the baseplate smartly against the palm of the hand. the shutter snaps shut, and now works fine at all speeds. rob said that they taught one that technique at leica school. he said to try it out with film and maybe it was just a fluke without ill after effects. i ran through a roll of HP5+ that afternoon and the negs look just fine. i've owned m6's for 15 years and never had that happen, nor had i heard of the corrective technique. you learn something new every day. - -rei - -- Rei Shinozuka shino@panix.com Ridgewood, New Jersey - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
