Thanks, B.D. I was part of a team that included several other photographers and writer/producers for "A Sunday Journal." In New Orleans it had higher ratings than a certain CBS News Magazine that played just adjacent to our time slot. I had the great fortune to be given full artistic freedom in the shooting and editing of my segments, and was usually just let loose to bring back the goods. This was not a "hard news" show, and it always seemed like I was on vacation instead of at work when I was involved with a segment. Jim Metcalf, host and executive producer, was an old line reporter with a soft edge; A real prince to work with. Regards, Sonny http://www.sonc.com From the Peabody Awards webpage: Year: 1975 Title: A Sunday Journal Producing Organization(s): WWL-TV City/State: New Orleans Louisiana WWL-TV is no stranger to the Peabody Awards. In 1975, this New Orleans giant presented with uniqueness and beauty a striking series of exceptionally well-done programs titled “A Sunday Journal.” Host Jim Metcalf blended each facet of the programs together with skill and aplomb. His efforts were marked by good writing, excellent photography, and artistic presentation. In the opinion of the Peabody Board, “A Sunday Journal” is an excellent example of what a dedicated television station can do, utilizing its own community and its own staff, both to their best advantage. - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
