Your fears are legitimate. I haven't taken my M3 out since buying the R2. If I thought I could sell my M3 and M1 and get what they are worth, I might sell them (boy, is this the wrong forum to be saying this stuff...don't flame me, Mark!!). But I also like the lack of shutter sound with the M's, and like having a camera that can still be CLA'd and repaired as long as I live.
