Another close up option is the SL 2x extender. This gives you a 120mm f/5.6 which
focuses continuously from infinity to 1:1. If you are working in the 1:1 to 1:4
range having to swap the extension tube in and out is a hassle.

Yes f/5.6 is slow but limited dof in the extreme close up range means you will stop
down for the exposure and the SLs finder works well at this aperture.

In addition the 2x extender is useful on some other SL lenses.

Big problem is finding one because the R extenders do not work on the SL.
