Currently I'm Trademark Examiner with the local Patent Office; have been a photographer (pro - briefly), translator (Latvian/English/Russian); author; editor; journalist. The M4 is with me for more than 10 yrs (I was with a newspaper then - but not in its photography dept.), the R7 - around a year. (Although non-soviet camera prices were sold at a (rough) price ratio 1:3 to 1:5, it was somehow easier to buy expensive quality items then than it is now, for nearly everything else was dirt cheap; one just had to borrow the money).
