*He* [Riddy is short for Iridium] is a Russian Wolfhound, otherwise known
these days as a Borzoi.  They are one of the largest members of the sight
hound family, and are known for their running speed and visual acuity.  He
ranges from 93 to 105 lbs and is almost 36 inches tall.  And yes, they were
used for hunting wolves in Russia, back in the days of the Czar.
