Birdie is our latest 'keeper' pup; 'Ruffe' is our kennel name and her registered name is taken from the Beatles' song, the subtitle of which is 'This Bird Has Flown'....and her father is named Robin. Now for the Leica connection: both these shots were taken with an R8, 80-200 f4 vario-elmar and a 2x R non-apo extender. I used Kodak Royal Gold Select print film, had it processed in a one-hour lab in a drug store and scanned the negatives with my Nikon 4000. I'd also observe that I used a Gitzo carbon fibre monopod to hold this monster of a camera (to me) steady. <g> Finally, I know the upper of the two shots is more interesting to us photographers; the lower shot is for our 'doggy friends' to show Birdie's markings and conformation. And yes, like the other Cavaliers in our pack, she is a great snuggle buddy. I think this lens and extender combination is going to produce some very interesting results for me.
