I don't own an Leica M, but I have read some tails of burning holes in the shutter curtain while pointing the camera at the sun (by accident, of course). Well, in digital cameras that exist today can am going to assume that there is no shutter? Also, in the non-SLR digitals, there is no mirror. So is it possible to damage the sensor in a digital camera by focusing the sun's image on the sensor since it is not "protected" by a mirror? Should one be concerned at putting a camera on a table with the lens pointed where the sun can hit it? Aram This message is made of 100% recycled electrons.
