One of my Leica M bodies is usually loaded with Kodachrome, the other with B&W. When confronted with any given subject I decide to use one or the other based on whether I think the image works better in colour or B&W. As to your statement below, I am not sure I agree. I go to a lot of photo exhibitions (most recently two different ones in London the week before last) and it seems that a very high percentage of the contemporary photography that I see in galleries is in colour. On balance, I do prefer B&W, but I try to keep an open mind; for instance, I am a big fan of Martin Parr, having just seen his images in real life at the Barbican earlier this year.
