The 1.5/5cm Summarit is a coated version of the earlier Xenon lens produced
by co-operation between Leitz, Schneider, and Taylor, Taylor, Hobson. It
is a pretty fair lens for its era but cannot hold a candle to the 1.5/5cm
Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar or the later Zeiss-Opton or Carl Zeiss variant of
that lens.

Those wanting the absolute in optical quality for an LTM camera probably
should pick up either a thread-mount Zeiss Jena Sonnar or its SPS clone,
the Jupiter-3. The last is most attractive as it can generally be had for
$100 or less.
