Hi David,

It can be sped up quite a bit.  I scan B&W 6x6 in 4 minutes, which is on par
with current scanners...  Go to the exposure menu and check "minimum".  The
only reason for using "optimum" is for positives, as the density range of
negatives is far less than positives, and minimum exposure will handle the
negative range with no compromise.

That should speed up your scan time significantly.
