The M7 was the most remarked camera but we could witness a lot of interest in the new Digilux 1. The people from Lisle Kelco brought along all the mostly desirable lenses such as the 28 Summicron, 21 Elmarit, 90 Apo-Summicron, 50 Summilux and yes, a Noctilux! Of course, finders, Motor M, Leica R8 with some few R-systems items, binoculars and scopes were there as well. The nice thing is that the Leica people, among others Mr. John Paul, let us mount these beauties on our own personal camera and shoot with them! I was able to try for a first time, if not scientifically, these marvels. I have not processed my films yet, but the physical compactness of the 50 Summilux is growing on me..... The other nice thing was meeting these fellow LUG members. Mr. Paul was swift at introducing each others with sinsere pleasure. I have met Emmanuel Lowi, Dan Cardish, Robert Beaudoin, Mark Tomalty; all pleasant guys and seemingly, very much interested in the M7. Some names on the LUG will have faces....
