I like the edges starting light with movement to darker in the center, the reverse of what is typically done. As for the content as "art" it exhibits a nice tonality. I keep looking so on that level it is doing its job, but my eye wants something different, say a vertical composition, or a wider closer to the ladder shot, or something, possibly something unexpected on the top of the ladder.
