Saunders sells the Lepp Macro bracket II or something like that. It lets you use two flashes on articulated arms to set your lights where you want them. You can also then adjust the light ratio by using different powered flashes. It also means acquiring an SC-17 cord from Nikon with a SC-18 and whatever the shoe adapter is so you can mount two R compatible flashes on the bracket. Somewhat ungainly but very good.
