Actually, I was rude as well.

If you are going to use a film for the first time I think you should always
stick to the manufacturer's recommendation.  When you get to know it you can
tweak it a bit.  If you start with the recommended speed, you've got a
baseline to work from later on.

On second thought, and after reading some of the other replies, I
retract my wisea** reply. It really depends on how YOU meter. Me, I
stick it in the M7 and leave it up to DX. YMMV.
