Man, enough with the Japanese Whisky slamming. I have a bottle of 12 year Suntory "Pure Malt" Whisky amongst my collection. Sure, It's no Macallan, but it's certainly no worse than Bourbon. And all my native Canadian Rye Whisky bottles are clearly labeled WHISKY. As are my Scottish Single Malts and Japanese Malts.
