First time since college so I am more than a little rusty - lol. My V35 is the 2nd model with the Colour head. I noticed in the manual there is reference to using the B&W or B&W Vario-Contrast head for exposures longer than 20 seconds.. Can someone tell me why this is? Is there an advantage to using the Vario-Contrast BW head? I've been using Ilfords filter recommendations for the V35 with the colour head and seems to be fine but I do go over 20secs on a number of prints/paper/film combos. Trying to work the Focometer out is proving to be a challenge too, using integral metering I'm not having too much luck. I'm sure it's me - any advice appreciated on either topic. I guess I should be spot metering it with selective - ? The spot is pretty big though for smaller enlargements. PS - Agree wrt Lagavulin - beautiful. Quite funny to find so many others with similar tastes on here, and Herb - Bushmills 16yr old is a beauty too, visit the Factory if you get a chance. :) Cheers, Neil Portsmouth, England - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
