The strobes took about 1.5 seconds to recycle. I don't think even the best lit arenas allow you to shoot with anything less than 1600 asa film. Provia 400F pushes to 1600 very well. It looks better than print film at 1600. You have to mortgage your house though to pay for Provia 400f in the quantity you need for sports.
