Don't trust "eyeballing it". 3. Do not shoot at midday under ANY circumstances. Everyone will have Raccoon Eye shadows. 4. Do not shoot with the sun at your back. Everyone will be squinting or have their eyes closed. 5. Use a tripod. A VERY sturdy one. 6. Use a lens shade ( hood ). 7. Make several exposures. a) kids will pull pranks b) Any kid with contacts will have blinked 8. Use a "portrait" professional negative film. There is my effort to help.
