Slight change in plans...coming into Hamburg on April 30th. Will be at the Baseler Hof on The Esplanade ( have stayed there several times already ). Baerbel ( see below ) was born in Eppendorf, and lived I believe, in the Martinistrasse with her Grandmother Oertel during the war and just after. I am not entirely sure...she also lived near the airport. Leaving about a week later on the way to Muchen. Hope to see Nathan there, or on the way. I am almost 62, retired physician returning to photography after some years "away". My wife Baerbel is, as you know, from Hamburg, and was an accountant with Traube Machine Tools before they merged with another company. We have many friends about the Hamburg area, and try to get back several times a year. Actually, one of our very good friends lives with her husband in your area. Hopefully we can meet, and go to the Leica store together. I use both M and R ( some features of the R lines are very appealing to me ), but will most likely bring my M gear with me. Are you considering the M7? Perhaps we can take some pictures in the "back alleys" of Hamburg if you can guide me. Should be able to have a good time, and I hope you will be able to be available. Hopefully the museum exhibits will still be open. Look forward to meeting your wife as well! I don't know how much younger she is Christer, but we have a 38 year old son!
