Racks and racks of SGI Onyx machines. Cost them a bloody fortune. For sheer processing power SGI delivers the worst bang for the buck. Most of the big houses like Imageworks, ILM, DD etc. are mostly Linux based now, with some NT for specific packages. We are almost SGI free, mostly Linux. Pixar used Sun for a while and I'm not sure where they are heading now. Maybe OSX, who knows. feli ________________________________________________________________________ When your head is full of dust and tofu it's easy to smile all the time. -Ethan Ormsby ________________________________________________________________________ Feli di Giorgio * Compositing Supervisor feli@d2.com * DIGITAL DOMAIN * (310) 314-2800 ext.3074 - -- To unsubscribe, see http://mejac.palo-alto.ca.us/leica-users/unsub.html
