Disney was all SGI during "Dinosaur". Racks and racks of SGI Onyx
machines.
Cost them a bloody fortune. For sheer processing power SGI delivers the
worst
bang for the buck. Most of the big houses like Imageworks, ILM, DD etc.
are mostly Linux based now, with some NT for specific packages. We are
almost SGI free, mostly Linux. Pixar used Sun for a while and I'm not
sure where they are heading now. Maybe OSX, who knows.
