Hi Jim,

I know what a NDS is. Normally an NDS means you can have equipment to test
before its release date so that it is possible to publish reviews when the
equipment is released. It is a great idea for the reviewers, consumers and
the company.

The message to the Leica-Users SEEMED TO SAY that Erwin was unable to
publicly criticise certain aspects of the M7. If Erwin's NDS includes not
being able to write about certain problems in the Leica M7 then that is a
serious issue. It is NOT normal for a NDS to forbid criticism.

The only thing that has been asked for is clarification of what was meant.
That is not unreasonable.

Perhaps the original email was a fake?

John Collier

PS: I do not subscribe to Erwin's newsletter. I am only commenting on what
was posted on this forum.

PPS : I tried the grips and did not care for them :-)
