I didn't go up in the lift, I'll save that for another time. I was hungry
and wanted something to eat (there's  resto at the top but it's a bit pricey
as I remember).

Hi Steve
I really liked "alt 1" as there are three separate stories going on in
that picture. And the unusual angle for "alt 2" at La Defence creates a
very interesting photo. In fact a photo going up in the glass floored
lift probably looks pretty interesting as well.. I was busily holding
onto the rail to get my camera out in the lift when I visited.  Did you
take any Paris-scapes from the top of the Arche?
I find the main shot lacks some subject interest for me. I like the
buildings but maybe we could have seen a bit more of the person chopped
off in the foreground.
Paris is a great place to take photos!
